Driver arrested in Luton after police find 40kg of cocaine and heroin
and live on Freeview channel 276
Officers from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) carried out a proactive stop of a vehicle in Connaught Road yesterday evening (Wednesday).
On searching the car officers found approximately 10 kilograms of what is believed to be heroin.

Hide AdThe driver, a 34-year-old man from Luton, was arrested and taken to police custody where he remains for questioning.

As a result of the stop, officers carried out a warrant at a property in Dunstable Road, Luton, where they found more than 30 kilograms of other substances also believed to be Class A drugs, including cocaine and heroin. A significant quantity of steroids were also found and seized.
Detective Inspector Dave Skarratts, from ERSOU, said: “Despite current difficult times, our work to tackle serious and organised crime across the region continues, and we’re really pleased to have been able to remove such a significant quantity of Class A drugs from the market.
"We’ll be continuing to work with our forces and partners to clamp down on drug related criminality, protecting our communities from the harm it causes.”
