Luton Town midfielder Nathan Doyle has missed out on the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for November, with Southend United winger David Worrall taking the prize.

The Shrimpers’ wideman scored three times and had two assists during the month as Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “Worrall’s goals have been vital in Southend’s resurgent November form.

“Scoring a winner against Mansfield meant the Shrimpers could get over their poor October form to leave them looking forward to the Christmas fixtures.”

Speaking before the award was announced, Town boss John Still praised the impact of Doyle since joining on a free transfer in September.

He said: “I think he’s been terrific, absolutely terrific.

“Him and Smudge (Jonathan Smith) have played a big part in us not conceding that many.

“It is well warranted the fact he’s been nominated and if I was picking, he’d win it for me.”
