11-car pile-up on the M1

Mayhem for motorists with roads closed for two hours.
Another serious car crash involving 11 vehicles caused motoring mayhem for drivers on the A421 and M1 on Wednesday morning.
The southbound carriageway of the motorway and the slip road from the A421 were shut for almost two hours following the pile-up at junction 13 near Brogborough at 6.08am.
Five cars, five vans and a lorry were involved in the collision, which caused long delays on roads in the surrounding area.
One person was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital with minor injuries. The road was reopened at 7.56am.
