Collection stolen from house in Bedford.

A large collection of valuable stamps has been stolen from a house in the Goldington area of Bedford.

The burglary took place sometime during the morning of Friday, September 26.

Thieves stole stamps from Italy, Switzerland and the UK, collected over the last 40 years and kept in 20 dark green albums. A small gold cross and a sum of cash was also taken in the raid.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses, or collectors who may have been offered similar stamps. Call DC Claire Brennan on 01234 841212.
