Case against Tennyson Obih, 28, opens at Luton Crown Court on March 9, 2009
A date has been set for the trial of Tennyson Ikemukwu Obih, the man accused of the murder of PC Jon Henry.

Mr Obih, 28, of Winsdon Road, Luton, was declared 'fit to stand trial' at a case management hearing held at Luton Crown Court today (Friday, Oct 10).

The trial date has been set for March 9, 2009, at Luton Crown Court.

Mr Obih is due to appear again at a plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey on December 19, 2008.

PC Henry, 36, a married father of one, died from a stab wound shortly after starting his shift on June 11, 2007.

A memorial to PC Henry, a former pupil at Bedford School, was unveiled by Prime Minister Gordon Brown on October 3.
