Four-week programme of repairs.

One of Bedfordshire's historic landmarks will be largely closed to traffic for four weeks as essential maintenance works are carried out.

Harrold Bridge, in Carlton Road, was closed on Monday morning until Friday, August 15.

The road will be opened at 3.30pm each Friday afternoon however, until 9.30am on Mondays, so traffic can use the bridge at weekends.

Traffic will be rerouted via Odell, through Felmersham and back to Carlton. Signs are in place to warn motorists about the closure. All through traffic will need to follow the signed diversion routes.
