Police say gang struck at firm based in Hinwick last weekend

Thieves used fork-lift trucks to smash their way into a building firm's storage facility and steal £110,000 worth of copper cable.

The gang struck at Specialist Plant Associates in Airfield Road, Hinwick, between Saturday lunchtime (March 7) and Monday morning.

A spokesman for Beds Police said the thieves would have needed a large lorry to escape with the haul which weighed several tonnes.
