Bishop visits NOAH
The Bishop of St Albans visits NOAH
A Luton charity that helps the homeless has been praised by the Bishop of St Albans, the Rt Rev Dr Alan Smith (pictured left).
He said NOAH offered hope and dignity as people found shelter, skills and self-esteem.
He added: “The needs of homeless people are with us all the year round but as the weather gets colder, we should remember them all the more.”
NOAH boss Jim O’Connor said: “I was delighted to welcome Bishop Alan on his first visit.
“He holds the work we undertake in very high regard and says that a service such as ours is so vital for those experiencing real poverty in these times of harsh recession.”
