College goes global

Flags from all over the world were flying high as Luton Sixth Form College celebrated its rich ethnic and cultural mix on its second annual Diversity Day.

The event, spearheaded by the student council, saw a host of different activities taking place as students and staff embraced this year’s theme of “different but equal”.

The national flags of countries from Bangladesh to Jamaica, were flown proudly above the college entrance throughout the day, and inside the foyer students put stickers on a map of the world to show the country where they or their parents were born.

The evening saw a sold-out variety performance featuring singing, rapping, dancing and a fashion show.
