This year’s Relay for Life at Stockwood Park Athletics Centre promises to be a fun-filled 24 hours of fundraising for the whole family.

It starts at noon on Saturday (September 8) and concludes at 2pm the following day.

The first event in this overnight extravaganza is probably the most moving – the inspiring Survivors’ Lap of Honour. People who’ve beaten the disease or are in remission will be cheered round the track by family, friends and the local community.

Then the various teams will take turns to walk round for the duration of the event, marking the fact that cancer never sleeps.

In between there will be all sorts of entertainment with food and refreshments and a raft of stalls.
