We've won the Cup. Hatter's finest moment of glory, beating Arsenal 3-2 to claim the Littlewoods Cup at Wembley in 1988. Brian Stein scored the winner in injury time.

Just weeks before the Munich air disaster, the Busby Babes of Manchester United played out a 2-2 Boxing Day draw at Kenilworth Road. Allan Brown scored a last minute equaliser for the Hatters as some compensation for a 3-0 defeat at Manchester the previous day. R2545R

This young fan had cause for celebration after Hatters gained a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup fourth round against Manchester City on January 31, 1953. Jesse Pye scored the equaliser that earned a replay at Kenilworth Road on February 4 that Hatters won 5-1 with a hat-trick from Gordon Turner, a goal from Bert Mitchell and an own goal by City full back Little.The Town team at Maine Road was: Baynham, Jones, Aherne, Morton, Hall, Shanks, Cullen, Moore, Pye, Watkins, Mitchell. Turner replaced Shanks in the replay.
