editorial image

THE current economic crisis with job losses and money worries has meant an escalation in calls to relationship experts Relate,

Chief executive Angela Foll said the rise in numbers was not unexpected: “There is increasing pressure on families and couples and this extra strain can lead to arguments and break-ups.

“While it’s sad to think of anyone in distress it’s encouraging to see more people coming forward to ask for our help.”

So far this year calls to the counselling service are up 20 per cent, with 60 per cent more website hits.
