The NHS needs 7,000 voluntary donations of blood daily, yet only a tiny percentage of those eligible are active donors.

If you signed up and gave just one unit – a little less than a pint – you could potentially save three lives.

And anyone came become a donor – as long as they’re in good health, weigh more than 50kg and are aged between 17 and 65.

The Luton Donor Clinic in St George’s Square is open six days a week and stays open until 7.30pm on Thursdays.
