ENGLAND’S chief nursing officer opened a new Simulation Skills Centre at the University of Bedfordshire on Friday (Oct 14).

Dame Christine Beasley unveiled the £500,000 new facilities, which are designed to capture the patient journey and provide students and qualified practitioners with the opportunity to develop their skills.

Nursing students demonstrated the equipment for Dame Christine at the opening at the Butterfield Campus.

Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE DL said: “We’re thrilled that Dame Christine Beasley is coming to open the facilities for us. Here at the University of Bedfordshire, we’re committed to investing in our students’ futures and this Simulation Skills Centre is just part of a £180m investment programme designed to suport them.”
