Views to be sought on care scheme proposals

A consultation is to take place on tendering for a private company to run ‘extra care’ sheltered housing schemes.

Luton Borough Council currently provides care at three of the complexes, and Westminster Care at the other two.

Councillor Mahmood Hussain said: “We will only agree to tender for care at all five schemes if the consultation reveals that is the right thing to do.”
