Your say, your way
RESIDENTS are being offered the chance to have their say on how funding should be spent on community projects.
There will be seven ‘neighbourhood decision day’ events over the next few weeks, as part of the Luton Borough Council ‘Your Say, Your Way’ scheme.
Over the last year, hundreds of residents from West and Central wards in Luton have helped set priorities for what the big issues are in their neighbourhoods.
Residents from those wards are now invited to decide how funding will be spent to address these issues.
Councillor Joan Bailey said: “Local people have already helped shape priorities in each of these neighbourhoods, so it is vitally important as many people as possible give us their views on how we can spend this money. Make sure your vote counts by attending your decision day.”
The following events are confirmed:
o Challney ward - Saturday 28 January, Chaul End Community Centre, 515 Dunstable Road, LU4 8QN
o Leagrave ward - Saturday 4 February, Hockwell Ring Community Centre, Mayne Avenue, LU4 9LB
o Lewsey ward - Saturday 11 February, Lewsey Community Centre, Landrace Road, LU4 0SW
o High Town ward - Saturday 18 February, High Town Methodist Church, 45 to 47 High Town Road, LU2 0BW
o Saints ward - Saturday 3 March, Saints Community Centre, 83 to 85 Solway Road North, LU3 1TU
o Biscot ward - Saturday 10 March, Bury Park Community Resource Centre, 161 to 161b Dunstable Road, LU1 1BW
o Barnfield ward - Saturday 24 March, Bushmead Community Centre, Hancock Drive, LU2 7SF

All events run from 10am to 1pm. Please arrive from 9.30am onwards. Refreshments will be provided.
