Houghton Carnival organisers would love to hear from you

Classic car owners are being invited to take part in the biggest day in the Houghton Regis calendar.

Organisers of the town's carnival are hoping to grease the wheels for a good show by enlisting classic autos, including motorbikes, for a static display.

Vehicles from the good old days will be on show on the Village Green on Saturday, July 12.

Anyone who wants to register their car or motorbike can contact Sarah Gelsthorp, at Houghton Regis Town Council, on 01582 708523 or 01582 708540.

Click here for a link to the Houghton Regis Town Council website, from where you can email Sarah.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
