Visitors to Dunstable Downs will have a chance to draw on their artistic skills to bring the past to life on Saturday, October 11.
Beds County Council's archaeology team is running a free event as part of the national Big Draw campaign.
Anyone interested is encouraged to drop in on the event, which starts at 10am at the Chilterns Gateway Centre.
They can have a go at creating a drawing about the archaeology of the beauty spot.
People can also make their own versions of prehistoric pots and try out archaeological jigsaws.
The aim of the day is to create a vivid picture of Dunstable Downs as it once was, using materials including pencils, crayons and charcoal.
Councillor Peter Hollick, Beds County Council's cabinet member for community services, said: "We are hoping there will be a good turnout to this event, to help us create a large and colourful canvas, using the archaeology of Dunstable Downs as inspiration.
"The day is a great opportunity to explore your artistic side, so please come along and have a go."
