Celebration events being held at Luton and Dunstable hospital during October
On Wednesday October 8, Luton Community Gospel Choir will perform at the hospital lecture hall at 7.30pm. And on Monday, The Luton Young Leaders Academy will be talking about their experiences and views on black history and culture at 5.30pm in the Fountain Suite.
The two events are part of a number of sessions celebrating achievement and Luton's diverse community to mark Black History Month in October.
Beauty therapy students from Dunstable College launched the festivities on Monday with an African Caribbean Mind Body and Spirit Day. Visitors tried out Nubian natural bodycare products and Indian head massage.
And on October 20, from 10am until 4.30pm, an Asian festival of culture will take place in the Fountain Suite. For more information about Black History Month events at the L&D call 01582 718296.
