Tory leader 'seemed quite genuine' is man's verdict
It was just like Question Time at a face-to-face meeting between Conservative party leader David Cameron and Houghton Regis civil engineer Ross McKay.
Ross, 26, of Kent Road, was among a group of five Radio One Newsbeat listeners who had won the chance to quiz the man who wants the keys to 10 Downing Street.
It was all part of a special interview with Mr Cameron, which was then broadcast by the news team.
Ross had been flown down from Gatwick to Newquay, Cornwall, ready to meet Mr Cameron.
After the meeting, Ross said: 'He spoke to us all for about half an hour. He seemed all right, he seemed quite genuine.'
Various questions were put to Mr Cameron by the radio listeners, who met the Tory supremo in a restaurant in the Cornish town.
The discussion focused on topics including concerns over immigration, under-age drinking, and tax breaks.
