Charity challenge man had a beverage on Britain's highest peak
When Dunstablian Kevin Hydes reached the top of Ben Nevis, he made himself a cup of coffee and admired the view.
But he didn't get to enjoy it for long - he'd signed up for an incredible test of his personal endurance, and had another two mountains to climb by the end of the day.
The 29-year-old marketing manager climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon to raise money for a school in Uganda - and he has been pledged an impressive £1,000 for his efforts.
Kevin works for Costa Coffee in Dunstable, and he took part in the Three Peaks climb in aid of the company's efforts to help communities in coffee-growing regions.
It took months of training to prepare for the gruelling endurance test, but an exhausted Kevin said afterwards that he was glad he did it.
He said: 'I did it because I wanted to raise money to build a classroom, and I guess it was a big personal challenge for me as well, I wanted to see if I could do it.
'Most importantly it helps people who can't go to school at the moment to go to school.
'You have to be quite fit, but I think a lot of it's about having the right mental attitude.
'When we got to the top of each mountain we brewed some coffee. It was nice to have a coffee at the top before we had to make our way back down.'
