Audio book was the idea of Edlesborough grandad

David Dean, of Dagnall Road, could not believe it when he logged into the children's story site he launched on Monday, to find it had been defaced by Hackers International.

The destructive group had left images of Turkish soldiers and Muslim scripts on the first page of the Twizzlecaps front page.

Mr Dean said: "Why do people do this? If they want to test how brilliant they are, why not hack into IBM or Microsoft, don't come after a children's website. I'm so disgusted with the whole thing."

After making enquiries, Mr Dean discovered it was the same group who had hacked into the Bedfordshire Police website in June, and wiped the whole system for three weeks.

Mr Dean set up the children's website because he was sick and tired of children losing their childhood and missing out on nursery rhymes.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
