Police and customs investigators worked together to uncover crime

The arrest of a Houghton Regis man comes as Bedfordshire Police take part in a number of crackdowns on drugs and other serious crimes in the area, which has seen several raids this year.

Det Insp Mark Lay, who head the unit, said: "It has been an incredibly busy year and highlights that if you are involved in drugs and other serious offences in Bedfordshire, you can expect a visit from us at any time of the day or night."

Anyone with information can contact police, in confidence, on 01234 841212 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
