Neighbourhood cops out and about this summer

Dunstable's safer neighbourhood team will be touring the area with a mobile police station over the summer holidays.

They will be on hand to give crime prevention advice, security-mark property and listen to any concerns or information.

People who stop by to meet the team can also find out more about Neighbourhood Watch schemes.

PC Jon Forman said: 'These surgeries come at a time when we are all working hard to drive down key areas of crime, like auto crime, robbery and burglary, particularly with initiatives like our Safer Homes campaign.

'They also coincide with the school holidays, so they are an ideal opportunity for young people to drop in.'

Youngsters are welcome to drop by, for anything from picking up advice on how to protect their mobile phone, through to passing on information that they think that police should be aware of.

PC Forman will be joined by PC Paul Ayling and PCSOs Abigail Single and Denise Fitzjohn.

They will be out with the mobile unit on the following dates.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
