Motorists abandon vehicles, flights cancelled
Many motorists endured a horrendous journey home from work in the local area last night, with some forced to abandon their vehicles as roads became impossible to drive on.

Some people opted to stay in hotels rather than spend several hours driving just a few miles home.

Main routes are mostly clear this morning. Luton Airport has reopened today, but bosses say flights are still subject to delays and cancellations due to the severe weather conditions.

No easyJet flights will depart from the airport before midday today, Tuesday, December 22. Passengers due to travel with easyjet should check their flight status by clicking here.
