Bilawal releases video of worldwide hit single

AN aspiring Asian popstar has released a music video for his first single, Jaaniyan.

Bilawal Baloch, 20, released the audio for the track last September and has now recorded the accompanying video.

Jaaniyan has been downloaded more than 500,000 times since its release, from fans in the UK, Pakistan, Dubai, India and the rest of the world.

Bilawal said: “I’ve been singing since I was about ten years old but this is my first music video. The video reflects the story of the song. It’s sad at first as it’s about a man’s girlfriend who died, but the song is all about love and is quite upbeat. It has been a big hit so far.”

Bilawal, who goes to Barnfield College, said he is inspired by singers in India and Pakistan but also Michael Jackson.

Bilawal said: “I’ve always wanted to be a singer. I listen to different artists, both English and Asian. I never thought I would get the chance to do this but it’s been great releasing a single and performing it. I’m going to record another song after this one.”
