LORD Vader showed his charitable side as he sent two of his minions to Just Us in Stopsley to collect money for Macmillan Nurses on Saturday (January 28).

Herald & Post reporter Richard Redman went along to the Hitchin Road gift shop and met the Stormtroopers, whose costumes were provided by 501st Legion.

The Stormtrooper costumes were made from the original mould from the 1977 film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and are worth about £1,200 each.

Shop owner Liz Bennett did not charge for photos but all customers were entered into a draw to win a Valentine’s Day meal worth £85.
