Can saucy Sinders get her Prince?

CINDERELLA just got saucy.

Toddington Players, true to their name, are playing around with the traditional fairytale and turning the story of Cinderella into a naughty adult pantomime, Saucy Sinders.

In this version of the tale, Prince Virginal’s kingdom is rife with loose women, men out for a good time and houses of ill repute.

In an attempt to restore a sense of morality to the kingdom, Prince Virginal issues a ban on all ‘pleasures of the flesh’ for a year, with immediate imprisonment for those who disobey.

Meanwhile, his love-life is struggling as the only virgin left in the land that the Prince could marry is the Baron’s daughter, Sinderella, who was brought up by nuns in a nearby abbey.

Sinderella’s chance of finding happiness may be foiled by her jealous stepmother, the Baroness, who is determined to ensnare the Prince for her own two revolting offspring.

With the addition of two intellectually-challenged henchmen, a number of fairies with questionable motives, a Baroness who likes dressing up as a nun, and a Fairy ‘Gothmother’ who is into bondage, this comedy is naughty-but-nice in true ‘Carry-On’ style. The cheeky performances are on Friday and Saturday evenings, January 27 and 28 and February 3 and 4 at TADS Theatre in Conger Lane, Toddington.
