MOTOWN comes to The Stables on Thursday (June 14) as The Sounds of the Supremes perform the classic hits that defined a generation.

Led by Kaaren Ragland – a backing singer for original Supreme Mary Wilson in the 70s and 80s – these girls give glamorous performances of such favourites as Stop In The Name Of Love, Reflections, You Can’t Hurry Love, Baby Love and many more.

But first see the excellent The Paris 1940s give a jazz twist to an eclectic mix of hits from Motorhead to Katy Perry.

Bringing jazz into the next generation, their intricately-arranged, expertly-delivered live show is a must-see for those looking for something different on a Tuesday night.

Nostalgia rules the Wavendon venue this week as tribute show The Jackie Generation takes you down memory lane revitalising hits from Queen, Elton John, The Osmonds, Boney M, Suzi Quatro among others on Friday (June 15).

Mercury are one of the world’s most authentic tribute acts to Freddie Mercury and Queen, and stop off at The Stables on Saturday (June 16) as part of their 10th anniversary tour.

With Joseph Lee Jackson as Freddie and Glenn Scrimshaw as Brian May, the band are the spitting image of the anthemic rock group in both sight and sound.

Dennis Rollins’ Velocity Trio caused the Evening Standard to consider that “rarely can an instrumental trio have produced such a rich and varied tonal range” – catch them on Saturday afternoon (June 16).

During this event, Nonna’s will be serving delicious Italian dishes which can be preordered through the box office.

For a full list of the week’s events visit www.stables.org or call the box office on 01908 280800 to book tickets.
