Tory leader to face public grilling in Luton
Conservative Party Leader David Cameron will face a public grilling from Luton residents next week.
Mr Cameron says he will tackle any issue at the question and answer session at the Riverside Suite at the Vauxhall Recreation Club in Gipsy Lane next Monday (June 29).
Tickets for the event are free, but must be ordered in advance.
Nigel Huddleston, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Luton South, said: "We're really pleased David Cameron is coming to Luton. It's a great opportunity for everyone - of any political persuasion - to come along and raise their issues, questions and concerns with him.
"It is the members of the public who set the agenda for the evening - whatever the question it will be answered."
Jeremy Brier, Tory candidate for Luton North, added: "There are obviously real concerns - locally and nationally - on issues such as the economy and jobs, crime and law and order, immigration and racial tensions, and the pressures on small shops and local businesses.
"This is a great opportunity for the people of Luton to hear David Cameron's opinion on all of these issues and more."
