Published Date: 15 May 2008
VOLUNTEERS from a Luton homeless charity will be on a mission to paint 200 faces in just five hours at the Luton Carnival on May 26.
A team from LAMP (Luton Accommodation and Move-on Project) are being sponsored to meet the target, and will be charging £2.50 per face.

All the money raised will go towards helping homeless 16 to 25-year- olds in Luton to find safe, secure housing and get back to independent living. The charity also goes into Luton schools, running workshops for teenagers to help them avoid homelessness.

As well as the facepainting marathon, LAMP will be running a lucky square treasure hunt of Luton, with the opportunity to win a meal for two with wine at the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Stopsley.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
