Take your four-legged friend for a check up
Dog doctors are coming to Luton to offer the town's four-legged friends a health check.
Owners can take their pets for a free MOT from Wednesday, August 12, until Sunday, August 16, at different locations in town as part of the annual nationwide PetCheck tour by veterinary charity PDSA.
A PetCheck vehicle will be at Luton Regional Sports Centre, in St Thomas's Road, on Wednesday, August 12, in Stockwood Park, Farley Hill on Thursday, August 13, Hockwell Ring Community Centre, Mayne Avenue on Friday, August 14 and Lewsey Park, Service Road, Pastures Way on Saturday, August 15.
The checks will be available from 10am to 5pm.
On Sunday, August 16, checks will be in the vehicle at The Purley Centre Car Park, Purway Close, from 10am to 4pm.
A PDSA veterinary nurse on board the mobile clinic will examine the dog's weight, body shape, teeth, eyes, coat condition and general fitness.
For safety reasons, only dogs can be taken to the PetCheck vehicle, but a veterinary nurse will be able to provide advice and answer questions on caring for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other popular animals.
Owners must keep their dog on a lead at all times and are reminded not to leave them locked in cars.
