Magic beans will generate charity cash at a performance of The Griffin Players' pantomime this festive season.
The Luton am-dram group, which celebrated its 75th anniversary this year, will present a charity gala performance of its Yuletide sho
w Jack And The Beanstalk on December 1 at Luton Library Theatre.
All proceeds will go to Keech Hospice Care, which cares for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses.
Jack and The Beanstalk runs from November 27 to December 5 and features hapless Dame Trot, a fearsome giant and a dancing cow.
It tells the familiar story of Jack's trip to market to make his fortune.
Forced to exchange their pet cow for some beans, Jack despairs of ever helping his mum out of debt, until the beans begin to work their magic and Jack discovers a whole new world of adventure at the top of the beanstalk.
