Take a long lingering look at the sheer luxury and opulence that is the new Luton Hoo. It's the closest most of us will get to seeing it for ourselves – unless we win the lottery.
The fabulous five star hotel, which opens in the autumn, had its topping out ceremony earlier this week when contractors Cardy Construction officially handed over the keys to new owners Elite Hotels.
So start saving now, folks, if you want to afford one of the swish suites in this ultra exclusive location destination.
You don't have to be in Debretts to book one of these upmarket environments, but it helps to have a princely pile in the bank – that's if you don't fancy an unplanned visit to intensive care when the £850 bed and breakfast bill is presented.
That's what it will cost you to stay in the most expensive suite in the main mansion house.
A wee bit over budget? Then why not consider the Roof Garden Suite in the Parkland Wing – offering panoramic views east and west across the historic estate and providing an ideal venue for an al fresco dinner or private reception. A snip at £575 for bed and breakfast.
Not so much cash to flash? How about a bargain £275 for one of the 38 air-conditioned bedrooms, each equipped with flat screen LCD and broadband... and, if it's on the ground floor, its own individual terrace?
If golf is your bag, you can choose to stay in the Grade II Robert Adam Wing. Its two studio suites with their four poster beds, oak beams and vaulted ceilings are in the same building as the club house, spa and other leisure facilities.
Not keen to be so close? Then opt for the Flower Garden Wing, adjacent to all aforesaid amenities and with views over the course or Capability Brown landscaped gardens.
Naturally there'll be fine wining and dining at Luton Hoo. The state dining room – renamed the Wernher Restaurant after distinguished former owner diamond magnate Julius Werner – has been sensitively restored to its former glory.
Its exotic marble panelwork and richly coloured fabrics are reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles. Here you and your guests will be entertained in the same surroundings once enjoyed by royalty, heads of state and prime ministers.
But if you fancy something less formal – although still five star, naturally – there's Adam's Brasserie, housed in the historic stables building.
Luton Hoo's fabulous facilities will also be available for weddings, special events and conferences.
