Annual presentation day sees staff recognised with gongs
Senior infection control nurse Sue Fox has been named Luton & Dunstable Hospital's Nurse Of The Year.

At the hospital's annual presentation day, Sue was given her award by Professor Anthony Palmer, deputy chief executive and director of nursing and clinical services at the hospital.

Other gongs were awarded to staff and volunteers for long service, retirees, academic and IT awards, training certificates for cleaning and domestic staff and newly qualified nurses and midwives.

Professor Soraya Dhillon, who chairs the L&D, reminded staff that presentation day was also an opportunity to remember the 60th anniversary of the NHS, and look forward to the hospital's 70th birthday in February.

Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
