Joe starts a new record label to launch disc

Musician Joe Woodham is about to release his first album - on his own record label.

The 18-year-old former South Luton High School student is taking the do-it-yourself approach to making music, and will release the CD next month on his label Tea Set Productions.

He is currently putting the final touches to the 11-track recording Bells And Whistles, which was produced by a friend of his.

Singer and songwriter Joe, of Millfield Lane, Caddington, said: 'It's a lot easier nowadays doing it yourself, rather than hunting for bigger labels. It's the DIY approach.'

The indie folk artist hopes he will be able to book gigs across the south of England, between Luton and Brighton - the two places where he spends much of his time.

Bells And Whistles will go on sale for about £5 at the end of August, and fans of Joe's music can grab themselves a copy through his website.
