'Not enough seats for young kids in supermarket trolleys'

For Luton mum Sasha Paice, supermarket shopping is something of a challenge with three small children in tow.

But without a suitable trolley, the weekly shop is like mission impossible.

The 22-year-old, from Lewsey Farm, can only manage if there is a double trolley - one with two toddler seats for her twin boys Ronnie and Richie, aged one.

And even then it is a mammoth task, as Mrs Paice also has a two-year-old daughter Risa-Lilac.

But when the family popped to Asda in Wigmore, they didn't go inside, as there was no suitable trolley. The only one Mrs Paice could find had just one child seat.

She said: 'All other shops have the trolleys available. I asked the trolley man who said they don't have double trolleys. We were there about half an hour trying to search with three screaming children.'

All other major supermarkets in Luton - Sainsburys, Tesco and Somerfield - have trolleys with two baby seats, or with two toddler seats.

Only Lidl and Aldi have just one seat for a child in their trolleys.

Wigmore Asda said it has four trolleys that seat two children, but that it is hoping to have more shortly.

Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
