If so, sign up to the latest sizzling sponsored event for the hospice - the Firewalk, in which adventurous fundraisers will walk barefoot over 20ft of hot coals, burning at 800 degrees Fahrenheit.

All the money raised will go towards a project to build new en suite bedrooms in the adult hospice to modernise and improve the care provided for local adults with life-limiting illnesses.

Build For Better Care is the adult hospice's most important development since its opened its doors to local people in 1991.

The £2.6 million project comprises a new wing which will provide eight ensuite bedrooms for in-patients and allow the Pasque to update its existing building with state-of-the-art facilities.

The News/Gazette appeal was launched in June with the aim of raising £59,000 to fit and furnish one of the bedrooms.

The Firewalk will take place on Thursday, February 12, at Wardown Swimming and Leisure Centre in Luton.

Entry is just £25 and you are asked to raise a minimum of £100.
