AKCC are the Luton & District Midweek League cup champions after an emphatic 48-run victory against Dallow.

Mehmood Ali was the star of the show for the victors, his unbeaten 38 forming the backbone of AK's total of 121-9 from their allotted overs.

Raja Babar contributed a valuable 25 to AK's score while Yasir Arafat was the pick of the Dallow bowlers with 3-27.

In reply, Arafat top-scored with 19 but the rest of the order failed to fire as the AK attack ran through them for a poor 73.

Mudassar Hussain ensured that it would be AK's name being engraved on the trophy as he collected superb figures of 5-25 to see his side to victory.

In Division Two, there were victories for Kingsway and Saracens against Elite and Challney respectively.

An unbeaten 47 from Assad Hussain enabled Kingsway to cruise past Elite by nine wickets.

Naveed Ahmed hit 33 and Haroon Sharif 22 as Elite scratched together 103-8, Zahoor Rehman and Izhar Ishaq taking two wickets apiece.

Kingsway had few problems in their chase as Hussain and Navid Afzal, 21 not out, guided them home.

Saracens enjoyed an equally one-sided win, crushing Challney by 72 runs. The home side racked up 154-4 before restricting the visitors to 82-8.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
