Luton fighter Egbui Ikeagwo draws on his return bout
Gutsy Luton fighter Egbui Ikeagwo has bounced back from adversity to get his professional boxing career back on track.
Having made his professional debut back in 2003 his career was cut short by the tragic lost of his mother in 2005, but Ikeagwo, also known as Abs, stepped back into the ring on Thursday, April 24, to claim a draw against the very experienced former Zimbabwe champion Hastings Rasani in their light heavyweight bout."
Abs, 32, who trains at Shamrock Gym and comes from the same stable as Graham Earl and Bobby Banghar, is trained by Luton's Jim Turner. He has been signed up by one of boxing's top managers, Chris Sanigar, who has high hopes for the Luton man.
Abs said: "After the sudden lost of my mother I could not concentrate on my boxing and Jim told me to take a complete rest."
