Norwich reportedly close to signing midfielder

Hatters midfielder David Bell is reportedly close to completing a £600,000 switch to Norwich City.

The 24-year-old has scored eight goals in 89 appearances for Luton Town since joining from Rushden and Diamonds in January 2006.

He is believed to have been at Carrow Road this afternoon to complete a medical and agree personal terms, although neither club have yet officially confirmed the deal.

Meanwhile, another player soon to be on his way out of Kenilworth Road is Crystal Palace-bound striker Calvin Andrew.

And Eagles boss Neil Warnock is delighted with the acquisition, saying: "He's just what we're looking for. He's got a lot to prove but he'll be in contention for a place. He's keen and enthusiastic and I'm confident we'll be able to get something out of him.

"It's not going to stop me looking elsewhere, but we haven't really got a young lad up front, and there isn't someone in the reserves who I can look to, so he's exactly the type of player I was hoping to get."

Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
