Euro success for JKL

Tyrrell Belony has been crowned European Tae Kwon Do champion.
The Luton West Tae Kwon Do Club fighter claimed first place in the individual competition and first in the English team tournament at the event in Ireland.

The victory completed a double for Belony who won the English Championships four weeks ago.

In what turned out to be a good week for the club, instructor Miles Lutwyche also gained his fifth dan. To find out more about the club, call Miles on 07889 359630.

Meanwhile, two members of the Luton based JKL Karate Dojo returned from the KWF European Cup competition in Turin, Italy last weekend as new European champions.

Ryan Parkins and Liam Mills both secured first places in their respective divisions to cap a fine couple of days for the club's competitors.

JKL chief instructor, Sensei Sabrina Daniels, said: "Once again, the students hard work has paid off and the results reflect this.

"To have two European champions in the club at the ages of 10 and 13 is an amazing achievement."

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
