Personal best for Dunstable BMW driver

Dunstable racer Jerry Brown's debut season in the Production BMW Cup is gradually getting better after he recorded a personal best 11th place in round three at Brands Hatch.

Brown worked his way up from 18th place on the grid for his 11th place finish, having placed 20th in round two.

He said: "After being knocked off the track at Castle Combe in round one at Easter, and hitting the tyre wall hard, John Legg and the team worked really hard to repair the car and get us running for Brands Hatch.

"With 30 cars starting each race, it was great to get through without any incidents and an 11th place is fantastic.

"There are a lot of experienced drivers in the series and we were only a few seconds off the pace of the front runners.

"I would like to say a big thank you to BM Technika, in Luton, for all the hard work that has gone into the car so far this season"

The next two rounds of the series take place at Cadwell Park on May 10-11.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
