Asafu-Adjaye agrees to extend deal by two years

Maturing defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye yesterday agreed to sign a two-year extension to his current Hatters deal that will keep him at Kenilworth until 2011.

Asafu-Adjaye, 20, was delighted to reach an agreement with the Kenilworth Road club, despite having another year left to run on his current deal.

Manager Mick Harford was delighted to tie up Asafu-Adjaye and predicted a big future for the versatile young defender.

He said: "I'm absolutely delighted he has agreed to sign. I see him as a big part of our future. He is another who has come through our youth set up."
