Efe Echanomi linked with Hatters

Luton boss Mick Harford has confirmed he has been contacted about Leyton Orient striker Efe Echanomi.

The 21-year-old striker scored eight goals in 51 games for Orient, although 47 of those appearances came as a substitute.

Known for his flamboyant tricks and eye-catching goal celebrations, a freak training ground incident that left him with a broken leg curtailed his career in the 2005-06 season.

Harford, admitted the Nigerian may well come for a trial, saying: "We get a lot of calls on players and his name cropped up, as do numerous others.

"We will have a look at him, although I don't know that much about him."
