Luton AC at the Golf Range: 1, M Harley, 5lb 2oz; 2, I Orbell, 4lb 14oz; 3, W Boustead, 4lb 12oz. Section winner: N Dawson, 4lb 10oz.
At Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick, a 4lb eel was caught and roach and perch up to 1lb are being caught by pole anglers.

Two trips to the Shefford & District AA Airman Pit proved extremely productive for Alan Woods, as he caught nine mirror carp.

The pick of Woods' haul were 21lb 10oz, 20lb 2oz and 19lb 6oz catches, with the other six being mid-doubles.

During the week, the pit was the scene of further success, with Andy Knight, Richard Knight and Mick Burr all reeling in double-figure fish there.

However, their efforts were surpassed by David Dymock, who beat his personal best with a fish of 22lb at Broom Lake.

Meanwhile, David Starling fished Luton AC North House Lake on the Wyboston Complex and caught an 18lb 15oz mirror, using a single hookbait to a gravel patch at 15 yards.

Encouraged by this capture, he then returned to catch another mirror known as 'The Beast' at 24lb 7oz.

Also at North House, Harvey Millier continued his recent success with a repeat capture of Pecs at a spawned out weight of 24lb 10oz.

On top of this, the Eaton Socon angler snared commons of 22lb and 19lb, with all the fish falling to Innovate Squid baits.

This was also the bait of choice for Stuart Bradley from St Neots, who caught a 17lb 10oz common.

Other highlights included a 16lb 2oz linear mirror capture from St Neots' G Millier during an overnight session, Dean Boutwood of Dunstable landing commons of 12lb and 15lb on plastic corn in clear spots and R Smith from Huntingdon hooking two 12lb commons.

At Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick, bailiff Mick Stringer caught a 30lb common, the standout effort in a week where numerous low 20-pounders and doubles were caught.

An impressive 47-fish haul was the result of a 24-hour session on MKAA Furzton Lake.

Steve Eriksen-Weeks and Martin Sheldrake from Buckingham claimed the top two catches, as their carps weighed 21lb and 19lb 8oz. All of the fish were caught on new Saville Roe Boilies.

Kane Harris fished carp on Baits Peach boilies at Furzton, with the best of his three catches weighing 17lb 8oz.

With the Tingrith Fishery series reaching its climax, the leaderboard remains very close, with plenty still to be decided.

Going into the final match Michael Smith and Steve Slater are vying for top spot, while James Draculics, Bryn Wignall, Gary Page and Tony Taylor are all still in the mix to claim a runners-up position.

An evening setting for the penultimate match, fished on Fringe Lake, saw Smith of Luton win for the second time.

He hauled in a 62lb 6oz carp and crucians on paste (GOT Baits) using a pole in the margins from peg eight.

Wignall from Bedford came second with a 52lb 6oz catch from peg five using pellet under the bush, with third place going to fellow Bedfordian Draculics, who used a similar method to reel in 49lb 3oz from peg six, using pellet on long pole.

Vauxhall AC head bailiff Dave Binge banked four barbel in one session, all in the 8lb-10lb weight category, at the Radwell and Sharnbrook complex.

The river has been fishing well with lots of dace and a few chub showing, with bream up to 9lb and tench up to 6lb being caught elsewhere.

Pits five and six are producing a lot of small silver fish, while pit four has turned up a couple of carp in the 20lb range.

Over at Woburn, where some of the fish are still spawning, Tim Stevens banked a magnificent 33lb specimen carp and followed this up with another of 19lb.

On the match front, the club lake at Tingrith proved again just how good it is.

Tex Marshall caught carp on the pole for a winning weight of 74lb 8oz, with second going to Paul Caton with 62lb 13oz.

Tony Kaye's 59lb 4oz catch, meanwhile, allowed him to claim third ahead of John Clennet with a 42lb 4oz specimen.
