Defender admits he is in limbo

After playing a prominent part in Luton Town's 3-0 victory over Bedford Town, out of contract defender Lewis Emanuel says he is keen to put pen to paper on a new deal at Kenilworth Road once the club exits administration.

Left-back Emanuel, 24, once again took the captain's armband for Hatters' friendly win at their non-league neighbours on Saturday in the absence of injured Keith Keane.

He was singled out for praise by Town boss Mick Harford, who revealed he hopes to keep the player at the club.

Emanuel, meanwhile, admitted he is desperate to sort out his future one way or another in the near future.

He said: "I'm obviously out of contract at the moment and with the club still currently in administration, I'm in limbo really and don't know what's going on, but I would like to sign a new contract when I can."

Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
