Pre-season starts in earnest today

Manager Mick Harford can't wait to finally get back into action today.

The Hatters boss has been busy in the transfer market over the summer, but gets back to the nitty-gritty today with the start of pre-season training.

And although he managed to get away on holiday for a few days, he admitted he hasn't really had time to stop in the close season.

He said: "I went away for a few days, but it's ongoing, the football never stops.

"Even over the summer holiday and the break you are always contactable wherever you are because of mobile phones and emails."

But he admitted with the new season just around the corner things will begin to get even more intense.
