Popular defender has no interest in management

Maturing defender Sol Davis revealed he had to use his experience to help calm down Town skipper Kevin Nicholls in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Some questionable decisions from Saturday's referee Mike Jones had obviously rattled the Hatters' captain, who lost his nan earlier in the week.

Davis said: "I get on well with Nico, I've known him for a while. Like myself he gets a bit hot headed at times and I could see it happening.
"So I had a quiet word to make sure he kept himself on the pitch because we needed him today."

However, he revealed he has not intention of going into management after his career ends, although he is full of admiration for current manager Mick Harford.

Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
