Saturday football round-up

Rampant Kent Athletic rounded off their Molten Spartan SML Division Two season with a 9-1 hammering of poor Padbury United on Monday.

Daryl Smith and Danny Sunderland scored a hat-trick apiece, while Ross Scott, James Baldry and Darren Lynch were also on target.

The win made up for their 2-1 reverse at Mursley United at the weekend when a Scott Harvey strike was not quite enough to earn them a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, England schoolboys' starlet Danny Watson was on the money yet again for Crawley Green as his classy hat-trick helped them end their campaign with a 7-1 romp against Tring Corinthians.

James Potter also bagged a treble. while Luke Singleton scored Crawley's other goal.

Goals from Craig Casley and Jamie Nolan fired Christians In Sport to Luton and District South Beds League William Pease Cup final glory with a 2-0 win over St Joseph's.

Dunstable United kept up their challenge for second spot in the Premier Division with a 1-0 midweek win over St Joes courtesy of Alex Howells' goal, while at the weekend Eaton Bray eased their relegation worries by thumping Joes 6-1 – their third defeat in less than a week.

Top scorer Jarrell Hinds helped himself to four goals for Eaton Bray, while Leigh Cosby and Lahin Miah got the others.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
